Appalachia: The Series

In June of 2006, artist Diannah Beauregard was invited to participate
in a show at the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC),
in Washington, D.C..

Collaborating with lapidary artist, Bruce Caminiti, a theme for the
piece being created for ARC was determined from the thing
most common in all of Appalachia.

Mountains and Trees

From the original piece, “Appalachia I”, it was decided to use the entire stock of this rare North American Imperial Green Jasper and the series was born. There will only be 13 pieces made in this series using the Jasper, one to represent every state in the Appalachian region.

As of this date, 4 pieces have been completed and sold. It will take approximately 2 years to complete this body of work. Please contact the artist if you have an interest in these pieces.
